How much does a website cost on the Central Coast?
Real prices for a small business website on the NSW Central Coast in 2026, what changes the cost, and how to compare quotes without getting burned.
If you've asked three web designers on the Central Coast for a quote, you've probably had three very different numbers. Here's what actually drives the price, and what you should expect to pay in 2026.
The short answer
For a small business on the Central Coast, a professionally built website usually costs:
$3,500 to $5,500 for a five or six page site on a proven design, with your branding, your words and a way to edit it yourself
$6,000 to $12,000 for a custom design, up to about a dozen pages, a portfolio or case studies, and moving your old site across without losing your Google rankings
$12,000 and up when the site needs something special, like a booking system, an online shop or 3D and motion work
On top of that, budget $80 to $250 a month for hosting, security updates, backups and small changes.
What changes the price
How many pages, and who writes them. Writing and photography often take longer than the build. If your words and photos are ready, the job is faster.
Custom design or a proven layout. A layout made for you takes more time than adapting one that already works.
What the site has to do. A contact form is simple. Bookings, payments or a member area are not.
Moving from an old site. Done properly, every old address is redirected so you keep your Google rankings. Done badly, you start again from zero.
Cheap websites aren't always cheap
A $900 site can cost you more in the long run. Watch for:
sites that need constant plugin updates, or break when one fails
no way for you to change your own prices or photos
slow pages on a phone, which Google ranks lower
no security headers or backups
How to compare quotes
Ask every web designer the same questions:
Can I edit the text and photos myself?
Who owns the site and the domain?
What happens to my Google rankings when you move my old site?
What does it cost each month after launch, and what's included?
Who do I call when something breaks?
