Forty-two years of technology, one studio
I'm Andy Taylor, and I run Studio Projects on the NSW Central Coast.
My whole career has been in technology. I started as an audio engineer, then moved to Flash development, qualified as a network security engineer, and now work as a creative developer. Each one changed how I build: sound taught me to listen, Flash imbued creativity, security taught me to distrust assumptions, and the web taught me that people come first.
The signal path
- 1984
Audio engineering
Studios, live sound and recording. The start of an obsession with clean signal paths.
- 1998
Flash and the web
Flash-era interactive sites first, then front-end creative development through to today’s WebGL, motion and secure web apps.
- 2012
Networks and security
Qualified as a network security engineer: designing, hardening and auditing networks.
- Now
Studio Projects
Websites, apps and audio for agencies and businesses, from the Central Coast.
How I work
Small and direct. You talk to the person doing the work.
Fast by default. Static where possible, light code, measured against real budgets.
Secure by design. Least privilege, strict content security policies, and an audit before launch.
Built to hand over. Source, documentation and the Blender files, if there are any.
